Dr. Melissa Bates

Melissa’s interest in health care began in her teenage years as an elite Athlete. At 15 years of age an ankle injury threatened Melissa’s competitiveness at the National Artistic Skating Championships. She searched for a form of treatment that would help her to overcome that ankle injury, and avoid future injuries… and OSTEOPATHY was the answer!

Melissa discovered that Osteopathy could not only help with sporting injuries, but also a wide range musculoskeletal complaints.

Having graduated from RMIT university in 2006 with two science degrees and a Masters in Osteopathy, Melissa immediately commenced practicing as a registered Osteopath at a very well established clinic allowing her to practice with Osteopaths with over 75 years combined experience, as well as quickly establish a strong patient base.

In 2008 Melissa decided to use that experience, as well as a high level of motivation and dedication to her profession, to start a unique Osteopathic practice and work with practitioners that provide the highest standard of care, the result of which is this successful practice in a unique and specialised setting. Melissa is a member of the Australian Osteopathic Association (AOA).
